Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. Role will last approximately 10 months. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including report writing and documentation
- Provide training and education on safety topics, including OSHA regulations, workers compensation law, first aid, CPR, etc.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs through data analysis
- Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations
Experience:
- Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and training development
